Building Assets Together...

It's that time of year... Mrs. Stoehr will be here working with some of our students again this year!  They will work on building assets together (BAT).  Sometimes with young children, it is difficult to understand why they do or feel the way they do about things.  Building assets together allows for students to work through various situations with an adult.  Additionally, it is something that they look forward to each week and a time to receive one on one or small group attention.  Mrs. Stoehr has over 40 years of educational experience, and we are so lucky to share her talents!  They will greatly benefit our young children.

If you have any further questions about BAT, don't hesitate to contact Mrs. Stuckey.

Operation Santa Information

See link below for information about this year's Operation Santa!

We received the following alert from Mr. Kordus, the Wauzeka-Steuben District Administrator.  This information was also sent to all staff via email, and all parents via Skyward.  Please remind your children of the importance of staying away from strangers regardless of their location.

A parent informed the office staff this morning of the following incident.  The Sheriff's Department was called and verified this report:
Yesterday evening, near Old Highway 60, at the end of the driveway where the child lives; three middle-aged men in a multi-colored car, approached an early elementary child.  The vehicle is described as a green car, with yellow race like strips on top, red bottom, and brown doors which may have been spray painted.  The men asked the child to help them look for some money.  The men offered the child candy and money.  Fortunately, the child said no, ran away from the men, and returned home safely.  This information is being shared with staff and parents to be observant of suspicious vehicles and report them immediately to the Sheriff's Department at 608-326-0241 or 911.

Fire Department Bike Winners...

Our lucky bike winners today were Zachary Ross from Mrs. Copsey's 4K classroom, and Allison Lindner from Mrs. Sagedahl's 1st grade classroom!

A huge thanks to all families who turned in their fire escape plans.  This is an important discussion to have with your children.  Also, a huge thanks to the Prairie du Chien Fire Department for everything you do, and to Wal-Mart for donating the bicycles.
