Caps for the Cure...

CAPS FOR THE CURE
April 25th, 2012
Dear Families of B.A. Kennedy,
We have an exciting opportunity to help raise funding for childhood cancer research!  Our students will again have the opportunity to host a fundraiser to support raising money for the American Family Children’s Hospital’s Beat Childhood Cancer Fund.
For $1.00 donation, all students and staff will be able to wear their favorite hat/cap in school for the day on Friday, April 27th, 2012.  By participating in this activity, we can all show our support for finding a cure for one of the most challenging childhood and adult diseases: cancer.  There are other schools throughout Wisconsin that also participate in this project.  We are hoping for great participation!!  The class in each grade level that raises the most money will earn root beer floats.
If you would like to make an additional donation to the cause, please send it to school with your child by Friday, April 27th.  All proceeds will be donated to the American Family Children’s Hospital’s Beat Childhood Cancer Fund.
WHAT:        Caps for the Cure benefit for American Family Children’s Hospital Beat Childhood Cancer Fund

Caps for the Cure was an idea brought forth by Kristina Schultz, a Sun Prairie student, who lost her battle with leukemia in 2007.  She presented this opportunity to all schools in the Sun Prairie school community in 2005.  She, along with all other children who are battling cancer, thank everyone for embracing this worthwhile event.
Any questions can be directed to Mrs. Stuckey at (608) 326-3704 or your child’s classroom teacher.
