Here, Piggy Piggy!!

Mrs. Long's class has been learning about the life cycle of a pig.  She and her husband raise pigs each year, and greatly enjoy having home grown meat in their freezer!  Before sampling some of Mrs. Long's ham, students discussed the various parts of the pig and what meat comes from each part.  

The students were so excited to try Mrs. Long's yummy home raised ham!  

I loved being a part of this with a great 1st grade class!  

What a great learning experience for us all!

Food 4 Thought Today...

Food 4 Thought today was all about green beans!  

Students got to try raw green beans and dilly beans!

All grades did a great job of taking a polite bite and trying the beans.

More staff learning to blog...

We spent some time tonight exploring blogger again!  I am always impressed with the many features that staff figure out right away that I have never even seen after blogging for quite a while!!  I'm sure they will let you know their blog web addresses once they're up and rolling!

District Webpage Error

It was brought to our attention that the district webpage indicated all parent teacher conferences were being held on Thursday, October 18th.  This is true for Bluff View and the High School, but BAK parent teacher conferences will be held during the first week of December.  Your child's teacher will be in touch with more information as the date gets closer.  

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and for utilizing the website!  We have corrected it on the district site as well.

Just a reminder the PTO fall fundraiser from "The Chip Shoppe" is due tomorrow, Friday October 5th.

Please be sure to have your child's name and phone number on the form.

 ALL money is due at this time also.
