We Love Improving Our Reading...
Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI) is an intervention that 1st grade students at BAK are a part of this year.
It is exciting to see students making connections and progressing in their reading and writing skills and abilities!

1st Grade Hospital Visit
1st grade students got to take a trip to the new hospital building site last week! This was a very special trip arranged by Mrs. Mink. 1st grade students have been learning about building in their current reading unit, so it was super exciting for students to see some of their vocabulary words and other learning in action!
A special thanks goes out to Mrs. Mink for coordinating, Sasha Dull from Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital, and Tyler from Market and Johnson for a great morning at the new hospital site!

We Will Miss You, Mrs. Mallicoat!
Mrs. Mallicoat will be leaving our BAK staff. We will miss her very much, and appreciate everything she has done for our school!! We wish her the best of luck at Southern Bluffs Elementary School in La Crosse.
