Roth Fresh Farms visited for Food 4 Thought this month. Anthony & Sarah Roth talked about their Aquaponics Greenhouse system. The Roth's raise tilapia fish in tanks. The nutrient-rich fish water is circulated from the tanks into large soilless beds covered with beautiful vegetables and herbs. The plants draw nutrients from teh fish water to grow and purify it so it can be pumped back to the fish tanks. The students got to taste aquaponic lettuce today!
