I got to see some 1st grade math lessons today! Students are working on using the number line and moving from one number to another --- sometimes forward (addition) and sometimes backward (subtraction). Below is a short video and some photos from my visits.
When I got to Mrs. White's room, I caught the start of their reading lesson! They were talking about proper fit books and then started into the first lesson from the new Wonders series!
